The Punkrock band Die Ärzte with their album "13" released in 1998.



The best thing is to face the mainstream success with subtle humour: "13" may be the eighth studio album of the Punkrock guys Die Ärzte from Berlin, however it is actually their 13th release as a band. And the included hit "Männer sind Schweine"? Was simply boycotted by the band for a long time.

According to Rod "13" was conceptionwise remade, so that afterwards more metal and street-punk was included.They also used easy elements from the 70's, and -which is really cool- got a James Last wind-player for the recordings at the Gaga Studios in Hamburg, Germany. Fast 'wall'-sounds are to the fore, that fit the times. It really would be a stroke of bad luck, if "13" would flop.
