by Oliver Kube (12.03.2008) Known as the frontman of Sub7even, active since 1999 and except his person consisting only of ex-Rage-members, Daniel Wirtz now releases his solo debut. Musically, the eleven songs are a bit softer, still he never goes too far off the path of his main band. The high energy Rocker, "Weil ich so bin", the fast "Mon amour" and the cool title track represent similar, powerful, modern Alternative Rock, featuring big walls of guitar and huge drums and most of all great melodies. Consequently, it doesn't matter if the Wirtz-songs are power ballads, like "Keine Angst" or epic sounds in the likes of "Den ersten Stein" and "Wieder mal 'ne Nacht". They all ignite and have a high hit potential all the way through. The special kick and the biggest difference to Sub7even are the lyrics which – because they are in German? – are much more concrete, more personal and simply better than the often a bit inconsequential, English lyrics of the band.
