"10,000 days" CD by Tool

Talking of guest appearances of Josh Homme (Q.O.T.S.A.) or Scott Reeder (ex-Kyuss). Or it being the last Tool epic because singer Maynard has become a Jesus freak. All bullshit as you will see: “10.000 days“ does completely without guests or bible religious lyrics and rather features eleven new songs offering in 76 minutes everything this band stands for: a heavy brew of progressive rock and gloomy soundscapes. With razor sharp staccato guitars, groovy killer bass guitars, blasting double bass drums and a singer so expressive as if he sings for his life. Which he does maybe. Because in the complex songs of up to eleven minutes he tells the mysterious story of a modern Jesus figure. A saviour supposed to free the world of George W. Bush, right-winged mass media and multinational large combines and who is completely overtaxed with this task, however. If this is a parody on the current religious illusion in the U.S. (see: Intelligent Design) or pure cultural pessimism can only be safely answered by Tool themselves.
