But you shouldn't underestimate Kiel as Rock city because with Bonehouse and Smokeblow (although musically completely different), two of the most important German Punkrock-acts of the last years come from that city. With their new album "(The) city screams my name", The Creetins surprise with two things. First of all, the material, as hinted before, doesn't sound very European but rather classically American, stamped by easy Pop-Punk of the likes of Descendents, All and HΓΌsker DΓΌ. Secondly, they are one of the last bands on Roadrunner Records who keep up the flag of traditional Punkrock, stand in a hall of fame amongst Death Metalcore bands. That is refreshing. As refreshing as their straight forward, uncomplicated 3-minute tracks with names like "Electric boy", "The kids (outta time)" Γ‘nd "Two lights in 79". Hey ho, let's go …
