Thor is the only Marvel hero who existed thousands of years before the comic book publisher itself. Together with his family, he forms part of the core of Nordic mythology – in which he is known as the God of Thunder. It is also widely believed that Thursday was named after him. He probably had his own fan merch before the Romans invaded Gaul.

Thor is armed with a hammer called Mjölnir (‘Crusher’), which only he is able to lift. If he throws Mjölnir in your direction, you’d better duck, as it’s not every day that you get hit in the head by a God’s hammer.

Thor is the son of the all-father, Odin, whist his cunning and mischievous brother Loki is the black sheep of the family and is often the source of magic and mayhem.

Thor merchandise – raise your hammer!

Bringing the Nordic God into the modern age was one of Marvel’s greatest strokes of genius. Although the comics and films somewhat differ from each other, one thing remains the same: Thor was banished to Earth by Odin. Here, he must learn to prove himself worthy of his divine descent. If he succeeds, he will regain his divine powers and be able to raise his hammer once again.

In the films, the question of who is ‘worthy to lift the hammer’ becomes a running gag. If you want to test whether or not you are worthy, our Thor fan merch is the way to go. You can even get a miniature version of Mjölnir. Put the Gods to shame by wearing the hammer in your pocket rather than merely lifting it. Even Loki will be green with envy!

More than worthy: The EMP Thor shop

The EMP Thor shop has got everything a Thor fan could want! We don’t just have Mjölnir, but also t-shirts featuring the Nordic God, as well as Thor Funko Pop! figures to decorate any shelf around your home. Some are based on the Secret Wars and present the female version of the God of Thunder. Thor as a woman? You bet!

Even Loki makes an appearance among the Thor fan merch. Wait a minute… who ordered that? If you still haven’t had enough of our superheroes, just drop by our Hulk or Captain America pages. And if even that is not enough, we’ve also got loads of exciting Doctor Strange merchandise for you.
