In the late 1970s, George Lucas presented an unprecedented film universe: the Star Wars empire! His masterpiece „Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope“ created overnight a new film world and one of the world's largest fan communities. Even the words that flicker across the screen at the beginning of each film make every true fan sigh: „A long time ago, in a galaxy far away“. George Lucas created a series of characters that have burned themselves into a kind of collective memory worldwide. These include, of course, Yoda, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

For a long time, fans had to do without the famous laser sword device. Gone were the speedy flights in the Millennium Falcon, the exciting fights and chases. The self-proclaimed Lukes, Leias and Yodas had to wait ten years until the space saga was back in the cinemas. Disney bought up the rights to the films and brought the film universe back to the big screen in 2015 with Star Wars VII (The Force Awakens)“. Best of all, it's only the first of three!

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens

In „Awakening of the Force“ there is a big time jump. The first part of the sequel trilogy takes place 30 years after the Jedi Knights have returned, the Death Star has been destroyed and the universe has been wiped out by Darth Vader. Rebels also fight in The Force Awakens. They return with the Empire, „The First Order“. In the process, foot soldiers are deployed as stormtroopers, of which Finn is one. Finn quickly realises that he does not want to be on the dark side of the Force and flees. A hunt for him then begins: Stormtrooper leader Captain Phasma (played by Gwendoline Christine) and General Hux (Domhall Gleeson) pursue the deserter.

Finn's escape does not go smoothly. He crash lands on the desert planet Jakku, where he meets Rey. The tough, petite woman makes a living stripping old spaceships on Jakku and trading the lost and found for food. In the course of the story, Rey gets her hands on something even more powerful: a lightsaber! It's not just any lightsaber, no! It belonged to Luke Skywalker. Because of this, there are plenty of sinister characters who want to hold this saber in their hands. Kylo Ren is one of them: He is a member of a knightly order who lives out his fanaticism for Darth Vader. This emerging dynamic ends in an epic battle that brings some more shocking twists and turns. Not only the Star Wars story, but also the actors convince.

Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi

Do you remember that jaw-dropping moment when you saw the first trailer for Episode 7? When the trailer for Episode 8 came out, we were blown away again - what a trailer. But what is Episode 8 - The Last Jedi about? Episode 8 picks up directly where its predecessor left off. Rey lands on Ahch-To, a small island planet, and meets Luke Skywalker. By now, Luke is the last Jedi in the galaxy and thus the last representative of the Order. Rey has no time to rest - Luke becomes her teacher. Time is running out, for Kylo Ren is far from completing the mission Snoke has given him.

Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker

"No one is really ever gone" - "The Rise of Skywalker" brings to an end a legendary trilogy from the Star Wars universe. The title alone and the sentence "No one is really ever gone" completely blew us away. Especially since Mark Hamill alias Luke Skywalker himself voiced the trailer. What exactly is meant by that? There are already the wildest speculations, but of course we don't want to give too much away. We will know more in December 2019 at the latest.

Rogue One: Another episode of Star Wars

Not only did „Awakening of the Force“ continue the Star Wars film series, no! Fans got another space treat at the end of 2016 with „Rogue One: A Star Wars Story„. Rogue One is the first part of an anthology series and tells the prequel to Episode IV. It is about a group of rebels who want to capture the plans to build the Death Star. But the rebels have not reckoned with the battle machines of the Dark Empire. All in all, Rogue One is more about combat and convinces with impressive battles.

SOLO - A Star Wars Story

Give us more. We just can't get enough of Star Wars and you probably can't either. With "SOLO" we have been given another spin-off series from Disney - Yes! As the name suggests, it is of course about none other than Han Solo. The name alone was enough to give us a good load of goosebumps.

Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon can't be missing from the film, nor can the old Star Wars magic from the first three parts. Get ready to meet Han Solo, Chewbacca, Qi'ra, Val, Lando and many more characters. We're already eagerly awaiting the next part. Of course, you can also find the matching SOLO merch here.
