In August 1962, American comic artist Steve Ditko and writer Stan Lee created yet another superhero that would attract worldwide fame. First presented as a Marvel comic, the stories were later released as various feature films and TV series.


'Spider-Man Merch: The New Animated Series' wowed television viewers back in 2003. Spider-Man - fighter against injustice


Student Peter Benjamin Parker is behind the mask of our superhero. He is taken in as an orphan by his aunt May and uncle Ben, and is ridiculed as a bit of a bookworm after developing a great talent for science.


During a visit to a research laboratory, a radioactive spider bites him, which gives Peter Parker his supernatural powers. Since being bitten he has stuck to walls like a spider, crawling up and down vertically and upside down. He also develops superhuman strength and his senses become extremely heightened.


Peter Parker wanted to be a stuntman originally and after the spider bite, hee decides to design a blue and red spider costume, to go with his new powers. He also invents 'Web Shooters' that shoot thick nets from his wrists. But his previous disinterest in fighting crime is quickly forgotten when his uncle is shot dead and Peter decides to use his new powers to tackle injustice and crime in New York City.
