Hogwarts: The feud between Gryffindor and Slytherin

The common idea of creating a school for young wizards and witches once brought Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin together. Unfortunately, the agreement on the admission regulation of students at Hogwarts School did not last long. A discussion broke out between Godric and Salazar about the admission of students whose parents consisted of Muggles and wizards.

While Salazar wanted to establish the school for pure-blood students, Godric disagreed. This conflict led to the "enmity" of the two houses, which still exists today. Slytherin Draco Malfoy and Gryffindor Harry Potter are the best examples of this seemingly eternal feud. Regardless of the house and yard, we also have a lot of merchandise in our shop. Fact 1: Hogwarts is in Scotland

The assumptions about where exactly Hogwarts is located in the fantastic world of Harry Potter were finally confirmed by author Joanne K. Rowling in an interview. Scotland is said to be the home of the magic school. So that the Muggles don't recognize the school as such, it is of course covered with a spell that makes the castle look like an old castle ruin.

Fact 2: How to threaten Albus Dumbledore

In the first two Harry Potter films, the role of headmaster and professor Albus Dumbledore is played by actor Richard Harris. Actually, he didn't want to play the role of Hogwarts headmaster at all. The convincing argument finally came from his then eleven-year-old granddaughter. She threatened never to speak to him again if he didn't play the role of Albus Dumbledore. The young lady must have been very convincing.

Fact 3: Headmaster without prior knowledge of Harry Potter

The second Dumbledore actor, Michael Gambon, is part of the small Harry Potter cast who did not read any of Joanne K. Rowling's books before being hired for the role. From part 3 "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" he plays the Hogwarts headmaster based on the scripts.
