Practical yet sporty and comfortable, with a touch of casual chic - the jeans shirt has been a classic in the wardrobe of rockers & co for decades. The typical design in the style of American workers' shirts is particularly popular among fans of country and the denim shirt is also frequently seen in the biker scene next to leather jackets.
And there are good reasons for that: The robust denim and the many pockets make it versatile and also suitable for hard physical work. But the wearer doesn't have to sacrifice elegance, because the traditional shirt cut also adds a chic touch to casual outfits at work or when going out. Here you can find out what the denim shirt can do.
A good choice then as now
Jeans shirts originated in the USA. There they are still the unofficial uniform - often with a name tag - at petrol stations and garages. Since shirts were compulsory for men in every situation back then, workers unceremoniously got themselves classically cut shirts made of demin fabric, which has already made their jeans trousers iconic workwear.
Clearly, because the easy-to-clean and very tear-resistant fabric makes the shirt a faithful companion when you're hanging up to your waist in a hot-rod engine, for example. The timeless style makes the jeans shirt suitable for many occasions even today. Combined with a sporty woollen jacket and matching fabric trousers, it is also a real eye-catcher at a bar evening with good friends. If you like it a little looser, you can combine the open denim shirt with a T-shirt or band shirt. Of course, the same applies as in workshops on Route 66: roll up your sleeves!
In addition, black, grey or matt blue denim shirts are particularly suitable for combining with a discreet tie made of rough fabric or even a scarf. The shirts from the popular, casual Brandit streetwear collection are particularly suitable for this, as they also add a casual touch to the outfit on their own without the wearer having to sacrifice comfort.
Jeans shirts are not just a man's thing
The timeless design, the relaxed style and the fabric that is as cosy as it is warm make the jeans shirt justifiably popular with women too. Of course, the EMP Online Shop also has the right thing here for all women who like casual chic from the dusty highways or the wild urban jungle. With the fitted and extra long cut denim shirts from Brandit you are always well advised. This type of shirt is also versatile: If you want a more elegant but still casual outfit, denim shirts can be super combined with a dark skirt, black tights and boots.
Important: In contrast to men, jeans should not be worn with a shirt here. If you are aiming for a boisterous party evening and want to look sexy in a stylish way, you can wear the long denim shirt, which is open to one third, over opaque leggings and a black top.
Because it rocks!
Whether you're simply looking for comfortable and loose clothing for everyday wear, like to go to country concerts with a cowboy flair or even like to let the engines howl from time to time: You're guaranteed to find what you're looking for in the EMP Online Shop. What you make of it is up to you - after all, real style never ages!
