The history of the varsity jackets goes back to 1865. At that time, the best baseball players at Harvard University were honoured with jackets embroidered with an "H". If a player slackened in his performance, he had to give it back. It didn't take long for this type of jacket to become a symbol of dedication, diligence and loyalty.

How to choose the perfect college jacket for your style
Selecting the right varsity jacket can be a delightful endeavor, especially when you consider the vast array of designs available. If your taste leans towards the unconventional, look for jackets with unique patterns or custom embroidery that reflects your personality. For those who prefer a more understated look, classic designs in traditional colours like navy, burgundy, and forest green are always in vogue. Furthermore, for those needing larger sizes, the availability of plus sizes ensures that everyone can enjoy the comfort and style of a varsity jacket. When you buy a varsity jacket, you're not just purchasing a piece of clothing; you're investing in a piece of history that enhances your personal style.
Freedom looks damn good!
Today, this type of jacket is considered the embodiment of the "American way of life". This puts it in line with names like Fender, Harley Davidson, Corvette and Ford Mustang. The list of prominent personalities who donned such jackets is endless. James Dean also wore them in "For They Know Not What They Do", as did John Travolta in "Grease". Rock stars and rappers wear them as well as country singers.
Show me your (varsity) jacket and I'll tell you who you fancy!
The days when these jackets only bore the logos of sports teams are long gone. No matter whose fan you are, the chances of finding the right varsity jackets are excellent. Of course, there are also neutral ones. But honestly, who can resist "Deadpool"? Especially when it's a woman wearing a Harley Quinn jacket ... Sorry, Mr. J., but there it is.
"One for the money, two for the show"
The varsity jackets belongs to rockabilly like pomade and the Gretsch guitar. If you like it particularly cool, jump into skinny jeans and cowboy boots. Bands like the Baseballs don't leave home without this jacket. Combined with sneakers, the original idea comes into play: sport, sport and more sport!
With the matching jeans and Chucks on your feet, you again look very "high school like". In addition to the models for men, there are also great designs for women, whether gentle princess, Amazon or "Harley Quinn". In combination with leggings or tight jeans, a really cool outfit is created. Especially sexy is the combination with hot pants. But casual clothes also go perfectly with it. Female film stars in particular offer a lot of inspiration here. Whether you prefer it casual or "too hot to handle" is up to you. That's how it should be.
What else you should know about varsity jackets
The cut is usually wide and short. Most of them are in a bold colour. Exceptions confirm the rule. Whether you like it more subdued or brightly coloured is a matter of personal taste. Now it's up to you: Do you want a great fan jacket or a more neutral model?
